16 Days (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe)

Safari visiting the Caprivi Strip, the Victoria Falls and Etosha National Park.

Day 1 : Arrival at the Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport in beautiful Namibia. Pick up your rented vehicle and drive to town. If you are on a guided safari, your ONDESE guide will welcome you here and transfer you to town with a city tour. Overnight in an elegant room at Hotel Heinitzburg in the centre of town, offering a wonderful view of the Namibian capital.

Day 2 : Drive north via Okahandja to the Waterberg Plateau Park. Here you can undertake relaxing walks in the rest camp and onto the mountain. Overnight outside of the park in a room at the Waterberg Wilderness Lodge at the top of the mountain.

Day 3 : Drive via Rietfontein to visit the world's largest meteorite on farm Hoba close to Grootfontein. Continue through the communal lands of the Kavango Region via Rundu and with its typical African villages on via Divundu and the Popa Rapids to the beautiful Divava Okavango Lodge, situated on the banks of the Okavango River. Overnight here in a chalet.

Day 4 : Go on game drives in your own vehicle (or your guide will take you) in the Bwabwata National Park (Mahango Game Park) and visit the Andara mission station. When the water level of the river permits, book yourself a boat cruise. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 5 : After an early start, drive through the Bwabwata National Park (Caprivi Game Park) through the eastern part of the Caprivi Strip via Katima Mulilo and the border post Ngoma to the town of Kasane in Botswana. Leave your vehicle here and take a boat transfer back to the Namibian side of the Chobe River. Overnight here in a chalet of the Impalila Island Lodge, situated right on the eastern tip of the Caprivi Strip on the banks of the Zambesi River.

Day 6 : Spend the day with your hosts, who will take you on boat cruises on the Chobe River so that you can view the game in the Chobe National Park. Birding and fishing is excellent here. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 7 : After your hosts have transferred you back to Kasane in Botswana, drive via the Kazungula border post to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Overnight here in an elegant room at The Victoria Falls Hotel, which is situated in walking distance from the famous “smoke that thunders”, the Victoria Falls.

Day 8 : Visit the waterfalls and spend the day in Victoria Falls. In the afternoon go on a sundowner boat cruise on the mighty Zambesi River. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 9 : After breakfast, drive via Kazungula, Kasane and the border post Ngoma back to Namibia and continue via the capital of Caprivi, Katima Mulilo and Kongola to the Susuwe Island Lodge, situated at the Bwabwata National Park on the banks of the Kwando River. Overnight here in a suite.

Day 10 : Spend the day with game drives in the eastern Bwabwata National Park and with a boat cruise. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 11 : After breakfast, drive through the Bwabwata National Park (Caprivi Strip) and via Divundu and Rundu south to Guest Farm Dornhügel. Overnight here in a room. Enjoy an afternoon farm drive.

Day 12 : Today, your trip leads you via Grootfontein, Tsumeb and Lake Oshikoto to the famous Etosha National Park. Game drive in the eastern side of the park on the marked roads either in your rented vehicle or with your guide. Overnight in a luxury tent with en-suite facilities at the Onguma Tented Camp, situated just outside the park in a private game reserve.

Day 13 : Game drives in the eastern part of Etosha. Visit historical Fort Namutoni. Large numbers of antelope, giraffe and zebra - and the predators that stalk them, and huge, dusty elephants against the backdrop of the vast Etosha Pan are characteristic of the days in the park. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 14 : Drive via Tsumeb to Otjiwarongo to visit a Crocodile Ranch and continue to Okonjima Bush Camp, situated in a private game estate of the Africat Foundation. Enjoy an afternoon game drive with your hosts. Overnight here in a chalet.

Day 15 : Drive in the course of the morning via Okahandja and the capital Windhoek to the Eningu Clay-House Lodge, which is situated close to the international Airport on the edge of the Kalahari in the typical red sand landscape. Overnight here in a beautiful clay house.

Day 16 : Drive to the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Return your rented vehicle here or your guide will bid you farewell. Flight home.
