Safari to the picturesque southern Kalahari and the southern Namib Desert.

Day 1 : Arrival at the Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport in beautiful Namibia. Pick up your travel documents and rental car at the car rental kiosk in the airport building. Alternatively, your ONDESE guide will welcome you here. Drive to town and overnight in a room at Olive Grove Guest House.

Day 2 : Drive south via Rehoboth and Kalkrand to the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, situated in a privately-owned game reserve on the edge of the Kalahari. Overnight here in a chalet.

Day 3 : Spend the day in this typically red sand landscape of the Kalahari. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 4 : In the course of the morning, drive via Stampriet and Gochas through the southern Kalahari with its red parallel dunes along the Auob dry river bed and via the Mata Mata border crossing into the South African-Botswanan Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Game drives either in your own vehicle or with your guide on the marked roads. Overnight in a tent with en-suite facilities at the State-owned Kalahari Tented Camp inside the park.

Day 5 : Spend the day with own or guided game drives in this magnificent southern Kalahari park. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 6 : Today, enter Namibia again and drive via Koës to visit the Quiver Tree Forest close to Keetmanshoop. Continue via the town and the Naute dam to the spectacular Fish River Canyon. Overnight here in a chalet at the Cañon Lodge.

Day 7 : Today, visit the famous Fish River Canyon, a vast, deep and convoluted incision in the rugged landscape. Continue driving south to the Orange (Gariep) River through spectacular landscapes and on via the mining town of Rosh Pinah to Aus on the edge of the Namib Desert. Overnight here in a room at the Klein-Aus Eagle's Nest. At sundown, visit the wild horses at Garub in the Namib.

Day 8 : Drive west through the picturesque southern Namib and the restricted Diamond Area to the little harbour town of Lüderitzbucht. Overnight in a room at the Nest Hotel on the beach. In the afternoon, visit the surrounding bays and Dias Point.

Day 9 : After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and enjoy a guided safari through the restricted diamond area, while visiting old mining towns, learning more about the past and present diamond mining and about the sensitive ecology of this area. Visit the unique rock-arch Bogenfels. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 10 : Visit the ghost town of Kolmannskuppe and drive inland through the desert and via Aus through breathtaking landscape of the Neisip and Tiras plains to Namtib Desert Lodge on the edge of the desert. Overnight here in a room.

Day 11 : Today you can visit the legendary Duwisib Castle. Drive along the edge of the Namib Desert through beautiful desert landscapes to the Sossus Dune Lodge at Sesriem inside the Namib-Naukluft Park. Overnight here in a chalet.

Day 12 : Rising early to see the subtle colours of the morning sun over the world's highest dunes at Sossusvlei is definitely worthwhile (This guided excursion is included.). Later, visit the interesting Sesriem Canyon. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 13 : Drive via Solitaire and the steep Spreetshoogte pass through the mountainous Khomas Hochland back to the Namibian capital Windhoek and continue east to Eningu Clay-House Lodge, situated on the edge of the Kalahari. Overnight here in a beautiful clay house.

Day 14 : Return your rented vehicle at the Hosea Kutako International Airport or allow your guide to transfer you from town to the airport for your flight out.
