20 Days (Namibia, Zimbabwe & Botswana)

Safari visiting the Caprivi Strip, Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Chobe National Park, Moremi, the Okavango swamps and the Kalahari.

Day 1 : Arrival at the Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport in beautiful Namibia. Pick up your rented 4x4 vehicle or your guide welcomes you here. Drive to town and overnight in an elegant room at Kalahari Sands Hotel, which is in the middle of Namibia's capital.

Day 2 : Drive via Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Otavi to visit the world's largest meteorite on Farm Hoba. Continue via Grootfontein to Guest Farm Dornhügel. Overnight here in a room.

Day 3 : After breakfast, drive through the veterinary fence into the communal area of the Okavango Region and continue via Rundu along the Okavango River to beautiful Ndhovu Safari Lodge, which is situated just south of the Popa Rapids on the banks of the Okavango River. On the opposite side of the river is the Bwabwata National Park (Caprivi Game Park) and often one may view elephant and hippopotami. Overnight in a tent with en-suite facilities.

Day 4 : Visit the Mahango part of the Bwabwata National Park, which is only two kilometres away. Here one may view elephant, buffalo, sable antelope, roan antelope and lechwe. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 5 : Today, drive through the Caprivi part of the Bwabwata National Park and via Kongola into the eastern side of the Caprivi Strip to the Lianshulu Lodge, which is situated in the Mudumu National Park on the Kwando River. Enjoy a sundowner boat cruise. Overnight here in a chalet.

Day 6 : After breakfast, drive via Katima Mulilo and the border post Ngoma to Kasane in Botswana. You leave your vehicle here and - after another customs control - take a boat transfer on the Chobe River to the Impalila Island, the furthest point of the Namibian Caprivi Strip. After you have gone through the Namibian customs, your boat cruise will take you via the Chobe River to the impressive Ichingo Chobe River Lodge. Overnight here in a tent with en-suite facilities.

Day 7 : Your hosts will take you on a boat cruise on the Chobe River, while viewing game on the Botswanan side in the Chobe National Park. Birding is very good here. Fly- Fishing is possible here and you can also join a trail on the island and climb on top of a very old baobab tree, from which you can view the meeting point of the four countries Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 8 : Boat transfer back to your vehicle in Kasane. Drive via the border post Kazungula to Zimbabwe and through the Matetsi safari area to Victoria Falls. Visit the famous Victoria Falls, the "smoke that thunders". Overnight in a room at Ilala Lodge.

Day 9 : Spend the day in and around Victoria Falls. Game drive in the Zambesi National Park and a sundowner cruise on the mighty Zambesi River. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 10 : After breakfast, drive via the mining town Hwange to the Hwange National Park. Overnight in a comfortable chalet at The Hide Safari Camp outside the park. Spend the day game driving with your hosts.

Day 11 : Spend the day with the offered game drives in Hwange National Park. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 12 : Drive via Hwange and the border post Kazungula to Kasane in Botswana. In the afternoon join a boat cruise on the Chobe River. Overnight in an elegant room at the Chobe Chilwero Lodge, overlooking the Chobe River.

Day 13 : After breakfast, drive through the northern part of the Chobe National Park - while viewing game - into the southern part of the park, the Savuti area. Overnight in the typical African luxury bush lodge, Savute Safari Lodge. You overnight in a room with en-suite facilities.

Day 14 : Spend the day with your hosts and guided game drives in the area. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 15 : Your drive takes you today from the Chobe National Park via the Khwai bridge into the Moremi Wildlife Reserve with its beautiful forests and to the famous Okavango Swamps. Overnight in a luxury tent with en-suite facilities at Camp Moremi, which is situated on the edge of the swamps.

Day 16 : Spend the day with boating excursions in the Okavango Swamps and game drives in the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Accommodation as on the previous day.

Day 17 : Drive through the Moremi Wildlife Reserve to Maun. Overnight here in a room at the Riley's Hotel.

Day 18 : Today, you leave the flood area of the Okavango and drive into the dryer part of the Kalahari via Ghanzi the Trans-Kalahari border post at Mamuno/Buitepos to the Kalahari Bush Breaks Lodge in Namibia. Overnight here in a room.

Day 19 : In the course of the day, drive via Gobabis to the Eningu Clay-House Lodge, which is not far from the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Overnight here in a stylish clay house with en-suite facilities.

Day 20 : Transfer to the Hosea Kutako International Airport or return your rented vehicle here. Flight home.
