12 Days (South Africa)
Safari in South Africa from Cape Town along the southern coast to the Garden Route and back to Cape Town.
Day 1 : Arrival at the Cape Town International Airport in the fairest Cape, South Africa. Pick up your rented vehicle at the airport or your guide/driver will welcome you here. Drive to town and overnight in a room at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel on the Waterfront.
Day 2 : Spend the day visiting Cape Point at the Cape of Good Hope and the Table Mountain. Accommodation as previous day.
Day 3 : Drive to the beautiful Cape vineyards surrounding the the picturesque villages of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Overnight in the comfortable Cathbert Country Inn close to Paarl.
Day 4 : Spend the day visiting several wine farms and taste the excellent South African wines. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 5 : Today drive after breakfast on the N1 via Worcester, Robertson and Montagu to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo. Here you can visit one of the famous ostrich farms or the interesting Cango Caves. Overnight in a room at the Riempie Estate Protea Hotel, which is situated just outside of town.
Day 6 : In the course of the morning, drive via the Outeniqua pass and George to the Garden Route on the South African south coast. Continue through lush landscapes via Knysna to Plettenberg Bay. Overnight here in a luxury room at The Plettenberg.
Day 7 : Visit the ancient woods of Knysna or your can book yourselves a nostalgic steam train ride along the coast. Of course, you can also relax or spend the day on the beautiful beaches of Plettenberg Bay. In Knysna you can visit the brewery Forester's and enjoy a beer tour. Overnight in Knysna in a room at Lake Pleasant Living.
Day 8 : Spend the day in and around Knysna and on the beach. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 9 : After breakfast, drive via Mossel Bay to the southernmost point of Africa, Cape Agulhas and continue to Gans Bay. Overnight here in a chalet at the Grootbos Lodge, which is situated in the Grootbos Nature Park.
Day 10 : Spend the day with your hosts and the offered activities to the rich diversity of plants and flowers in the park. From here you may also view whales in the ocean. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 11 : In the course of the day, drive via Hermanus along the coast via Gordon's Bay back to Cape Town. At Boulder's Beach, African Penguins can be seen. Overnight in a room at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel on the Waterfront.
Day 12 : Return your rented vehicle at the airport or your guide will bring you here. Flight home.
