11 Days (Zambia)
Fly-In Safari in Zambia to the Victoria Falls, the South Luangwa National Park and to the Lower Zambezi National Park.
Day 1 : Arrival at the Lusaka International Airport in Zambia. You will be met by a representative of a local airline and connect to a flight to Livingstone Airport. From here, transfer to the beautiful Tongabezi Lodge on the mighty Zambesi River at the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park outside town. Overnight here in a room.
Day 2 : After breakfast, visit the famous Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. After lunch, you are transferred by boat down the Zambesi to the Sindabezi Island Camp. Relax on the island and overnight here in a chalet.
Day 3 : Spend the day with walking, fishing and cruising the River. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 4 : After breakfast, transfer to the Livingstone Airport and fly via Lusaka to the Mfuwe Airport. Here your guide will welcome you and bring you to the Nkwali Camp, situated on the banks of the Luangwa River. In the afternoon and evening, enjoy game and night drives in the South Luangwa National Park. Overnight in a chalet at the Camp.
Day 5 : Take a game drive in an open vehicle in the South Luangwa Park to Tena Tena Camp, which also lies on a bend of the Luangwa River inside the park. Overnight in a luxury tent with en-suite facilities, listening to the sounds of hippos and elephants at the water, or the roar of lions echoing through the woodland.
Day 6 : Spend the day with your hosts, who will offer you guided walks, game drives or night drives. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 7 : Enjoy a game drive inside the Park to the elegant Nsefu Camp, which is located on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River and belongs, as do the previous two camps, to Robin Pope Safaris. Overnight in a bungalow at the Camp.
Day 8 : During a walk or game drive, you will learn more interesting facts about the fauna and flora of this stunning park from your expert guide. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 9 : Transfer to the Mfuwe Airport and fly via Lusaka to the Jeki airfield in the Lower Zambesi National Park. Transfer - while you view game - with your experienced guide to Sausage Tree Camp, which is situated on a bank of the Zambezi River and offers an expansive view of the Zambesi Escarpment. Overnight in a uniquely designed luxury tent with en-suite facilities.
Day 10 : You have the option of going on a game drive, canoe trip, walk or boat cruise. You can also go fishing for the tenacious tiger fish. Accommodation as on the previous day.
Day 11 : After breakfast, take a charter flight back to the Lusaka International Airport, from where you can - after a real African bush experience - catch your scheduled flight home or to your next destination in southern Africa.
